Some of us are logical in this family, and some of us are not. I just loved Angela's logic during our lunch conversation. There is no beating a child when it comes to the logic game!
I served Vegetable Curry and Rice for lunch. David and Daniel are munching delightedly away, but Angela is poking, picking, and pining over her food.
After a final groan of despair the following conversation ensues:
Moi: "C'mon eat it up!"
Angela: "It's too spicy!"
Moi: "Your brothers aren't having a problem. Daniel hasn't even had a sip of water yet. You have an overly sensitive palate."
Angela: Sighs dramatically, then states "Well....he's a little Indian baby. He was born from you and you're more Indian! He's an India baby!"
Moi:"What do you think you are? Who do you think you were born from?!"
Angela: *Exasperatedly explains as if this is common knowledge* "I was born in Wisconsin. Daniel was born in Ohio."
Then looks at me meaningfully as if it is naturally the answer to everything.
Moi: *Now completely flummoxed* "What does that have to do with him being Indian?!"
Angela: *Announces with complete authority* "There are more Indians in Ohio than there are in Wisconsin!"
Moi: What??!!
Angela: "I read it. On the computer."
So there. End of story. There you have it. Undefeatable logic as to why Daniel is an Indian baby and she is not--also therefore explaining why he does not find curry hot and she does.
That's awesome. I've always wondered if the reason why Anna prefers cheese and meat is b/c she's a Wisconsin baby.
