I know, I know...

I know, I know...haven't posted since last Monday. This week just vanished in a blur.
I had a couple homeschooling moms over with their kids this week and we had a fun time chatting, and the kids had a blast playing. Then I had another family over Saturday night for another fun get-together. In the midst of it all, my infection (or whatever!) came back.

Today was my worst.day.ever. Ok...slightly exaggerated there. But it wasn't a good day. Long story short--the docs had a hard time fitting me into their schedule. My GPS sent me all over creation trying to find this different Doctor's office. My most embarrassing moment in the world occured while there. And it sounded like the bottom of my van fell out about 2 blocks from home. I did look underneath it and can't see anything though. It almost sounded like a spring sprung itself--if that makes any sense. Something gave way. I still have to get to Walmart to get the next round of antibiotics and see if that works. The doctor also said I had muscle spasms in my back. ?????? Weird. She's referring me to another doctor for further checkups, because what it comes down to, is that she doesn't have a clue. IMHO. The only thing established was that there is, indeed, an infection. hmmmm.

So...moving on...Weigh-in Monday. Because of all the wonderful company I had, I made wonderful food. And ate the wonderful food. Namely, the coffee cake and cinnamon rolls. Too much junk. Blew my "Healthy Diet Plan" out of the water. However, I did exercise and the end result was that I neither gained nor lost any weight. I will try to get back on track this week, but this infection (or whatever!) doesn't have me feeling the best and it takes real effort to get any exercising in. Not to mention, the weather is not cooperating for my nightly walks! Two snowstorms in the space of a week! What on earth??!

  1. Sorry you're feeling so lousy! I hope this next round of meds works. I'll be praying for you. Oh, and thanks for the tip on the tea...it worked very well! I usually drink tea when I have a cold, but it was nice to have more direction.

And I am of the opinion that nothing beats a good city map and your eyeballs when it comes to directions. I've heard so many GPS horror stories.

  2. I think I'll take my lousiness to the sickness that's been going through your family!!! Hope you all feel better soon!

What it comes down too is: I have muscle spasms in my back--this now makes more sense. Now that I know where they are to massage them, I can tell that's what it is. Cooinciding with that time, was a stomach virus--which it looks like I got a second time--but a milder form. And then...there's still that pesky infection. Don't ask me what that's about. Apparently there's one there. I also set up an appt. with a family doc to get a more thorough workup on her recommendation.
